What is the date and time of the 2020 Disability Pride Parade, Festival & Fair?

The Disability Pride Parade, Festival & Fair will be held on October 1, 2020 from 10AM until 3PM.

Who are the organizers of the Los Angeles Disability Pride Parade?

The Los Angeles Disability Pride Parade is speared by Southern California Resource Services for Independent Living (SCRS-IL), Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor Hilda Solis, and in collaboration with partnering organizations and agencies.

Where is the Los Angeles Disability Pride Parade, Festival & Fair going to take place?

The 5th Annual Disability Pride Parade, Festival & Fair will be taking place at the East Los Angeles Civic Center, which is located at  4801 E 3rd St., Los Angeles, CA 90022

What is the cost for me to participate in the parade, festival and/or fair?

There is NO COST to the participant to take part in the parade/march, festival and fair.

Do I have to have a disability to participate in the parade/march? 

Absolutely not! The Disability Pride Parade is an opportunity to celebrate and strengthen the pride, diversity, and unity of people with disabilities, their families, and friends. Everyone who believes disability is a natural part of human diversity and supports Disability Pride is invited to participate in the Parade.

Can I participate as an individual in the parade or do I need to be a part of a group?

Everyone will be able to march/roll in the Parade. If you prefer, or you can join a group that will be marching in the Parade -- it's all up to you.

How long is the Parade Route?

 

Approximately 1 mile.

Who is the Parade Grand Marshal? 

The Disability Pride Parade Grand Marshal for 2019 has not been selected yet. 

Can I bring banners and signs?

 

Yes, we ENCOURAGE you to bring them. It’s a celebration; let’s have fun! Please no signs on poles or sticks for everyone's safety. We will also provide poster boards for you to create your own signs and have pre-made signs available to you. (Due to the allergies of some participants, please no latex balloons).

Can I bring a camera?

 

Yes, please do. 

Are pets allowed? 

Pets are not allowed; however, service animals are. Please keep the weather in mind when bringing your service animal.
